PetAPI

The PetAPI is an API (Application Programming Interface) that has been developed as a part of our school project, which is focused on building a pet adoption system. The PetAPI provides developers with a way to access and retrieve pet adoption data from our system, which can be used to build custom applications that help pets find their forever homes.

Developers can use the PetAPI to build a range of applications, such as websites or mobile apps, that allow potential pet owners to browse and search for pets based on various criteria. For example, users could search for pets by breed, age, or location.

As a developer working on the PetAPI for our pet adoption system project, I was responsible for designing and implementing the API endpoints using the Spring Boot framework. My job involved analyzing the project requirements and working with the project team to ensure that the API met the specifications. Using my skills in programming languages like Java and frameworks like Spring Boot, I designed and developed the API architecture and implemented the necessary functionality to retrieve data on available pets, such as breed, age, location, and photos.
